Kin is seeking funds to bring the body of an AP student killed in a car accident to the US
Family members of Prasanna Atluri, who was reportedly killed in an accident in New York on July 5, have sought help in raising funds to bring her remains to her home in Mulapadu village in Ibrahimpatnam mandal of NTR district.
According to information available on a fundraising website, her cousin Ravi Kumar Atluri said Prasanna died of injuries sustained in a road accident. The accident occurred when Prasanna’s car was allegedly hit by a speeding vehicle while she and her friends were waiting at a traffic light. According to various reports, her boyfriend was also killed in the accident.
Her cousin also wrote that Prasanna had recently graduated from Pace University in New York and was interviewing for jobs.
“Prasanna was the backbone of her family and the person everyone relied on for guidance, emotional support and financial stability. Even as she managed her own student loans, she never hesitated to help others,” he wrote.
According to the website, 1,500 donations have been made so far.
