Passala P. Anil Kumar was suspended on Monday from service in connection with a case that fatally knocked 59 -year -old man in Kilimanoor a week ago.
At the orders, the General Police Inspector in South Zone, based on the report of the Chief of the District Police (Thiruvananthapuram Rural) KS Sudarshan, were issued for disciplinary proceedings.
The incident occurred near Chennikuzha in the early morning hours of 7 September. Rajan, a daily wage worker who was later found by dead passers -by, intervened. The investigation found that the official did not help the injured person or immediately reported the incident to ensure medical assistance.
