The president and leader of the opposition in Rajya Sabha Mallikarjun Kharge opposed the efforts to limit the inheritance of Brus Ambedkara only to Dalits. On Saturday, he spoke at a public meeting in the village of Gabbur (B) in Afzalpur Taluk from the district of Kalaburagagi after revealing the statue of the Ambedian, Mr. Kharge claimed that Ambedkar was the leader of all communities, not just Dalits.
“Buddha, Basava and Ambedkar are global icons that fought for the rise and well -known communities. It belongs to the whole world, not one part of society.
Rights for all
Mr. Kharge emphasized the inclusive vision of ambiability, such as the right to equality (Articles 14 to 18) and the right to freedom (Articles 19 to 22). “These rights were enshrined in the constitution for the efforts of Dr. Ambedkara and benefit any citizen, not just one group,” he said.
Criticing discriminatory practices in Hinduism and Mr. Kharge noted, “ITSIFTIVABLACE exists only in Hinduism … Although some say that all Hinda are equal, they still deny the Dalits opportunities to advance.” ”
Referring to Basavann, Mr. Kharge noted that he refused Hinduism because of his oppression practices. “Basavanna, Brahmin since birth, devoted his life to fighting against inviolability, discrimination and gender inequality. He founded Lingayat’s faith based on equality.”
Mr. Kharge emphasized the continuing Marginalization of the Dalits, despite the reforms of Basavann, he said that many felt forced to transfer to Buddhism in finding dignity. “We will find ourselves here (in Hinduism) or there (in lingayatism). Therefore, Dr. Ambedkar accepted Buddhism, a 2,600 -year -old faith that treats all human beings equally.”
Against charging BJP
Mr. Kharge replied to the repeated BJP accusation that Congress was responsible for the defeat of Ambedkara in the General Elections of 1952, presented the Ambedcar himself a hand -written letter.
“In this letter, Ambedkar said that Hindutva ideologist VD Savarkar and Communist leader Sa Dange played key roles in their election loss,” Kharge said.
“It was a congress that stood by Ambedkar. Congress appointed him as chairman of the Committee on the Constitution, said it to the first trade union cabinet under Nezru and supported his vision. They were Hindutva’s right -wing forces that were constantly trying to suppress him,” Mr. Kharge said.
Elaboration of the Constitution
In order to face the claim that Ambedkar did not only create the constitution, Mr. Kharge TT Krishnamachari, the co -citizen of the Indian Constitution, quoted.
“Krishnamachari said that among seven members, one resigned, one died, one went to America, the other was employed by royal duties and two often missed in Delhi.
