
Khalid Jamil and Stephen Constantine were among the candidates who got into the narrower list of the Football Federation of the whole India (AIFF) for the role of the coach of the football team in India, managed on Wednesday 23 July. Jamil and Constantine joined the list of three men and Kyrgyz head coach Stefan Tarkovic.
The role of head coach of the Indian football team of men has been unoccupied since Manolo Marquez and AIFF decided to divide after catastrophic holding. The AIFF issued a statement on its official website and announced that the Technical Committee had met practically on Wednesday to record the role applicants.
The committee reviewed 170 applications and then narrowed them to Jamil, Constantine and Tarkovice. The last call for appointment will be made by the EXCEATIVE Committee after reviewing the CVs of all three men.

TC carefully reviewed 170 registered at the beginning of this month and narrowed it to three candidates – Khalid Jamil, Stephen Constantine and Tefan Tark. ”
“TC recommended the CVs of three candidates for narrower selection for the Executive Committee, which will accept the last call to the next head coach Blue Tigers,” AIFF read.
Jamil made a name with AIZAWL FC in 2017When the team from the second division led to the success of I-League. He then continued to work with Northeast United FC and Jamshedpur FC in Super League, India and led both teams to the semifinals. Jamil also helped Jamshedpur FC to achieve the Super Cup final last season.
Constantine is not alien to Indian football because it was the head of the Indian coach in two different spells – 2002 to 2005 and 2015-2019. Under Constantine, India left 173 to 100 in the FIFA ranking in FIFA and helped India to qualify for Asisia Asian AFC 2019.
Tarkovic is known for helping Kyrgyzstan AFC Asian Cup 2027 before the resignation in June this year.
