Samagra Shiksha State Project Director B. Srinivasa Rao has advised candidates not to trust brokers or middlemen who claim they can secure jobs in Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalayas (KGBVs).
In a statement, Mr. Rao said that the recruitment notification for 299 contract posts of Principals, Post Graduate Teachers (PGTs), Contract Residential Teachers (CRTs) and Physical Education Teachers (PETs) in KGBVs across the state was issued recently. “The recruitment process is fully automated and merit-based. The selection will be made solely on the basis of the marks obtained by the candidates in SSC, Intermediate, Degree, B.Ed., Post-Graduation and BP Ed.,” he said, adding that candidates with higher merit scores will be selected and there is no scope for referral, influence or incentives in the process.
Mr. Rao explained that the list of candidates who get the highest marks through the online application will be forwarded to the District Selection Committee (DSC) and the candidates will then be selected in the ratio of 1:3 (three candidates for each vacancy) and asked for certificate verification. The entire process of certificate verification will be conducted in a transparent and impartial manner under the supervision of a district committee headed by the district collector, he said. The selection will be based solely on academic merit (weightage) and qualification, he stressed.
Mr. Rao said that there would be no human intervention in the merit evaluation process and suitable female candidates would be selected strictly based on the merit list and merit list points generated by the software. He asked the candidates to immediately report any individual demanding money or trying to influence them in the name of recruitment to the concerned District Education Officer (DEO) or Samagra Shiksha District Project Office (APC). “Candidates are advised to rely only on their merits and qualifications and not fall prey to false claims, misleading publicity or fraudulent promises,” he said.
