
Kerala has signed an expression of interest (EOI) worth ₹1.18 crore at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Industries Minister P Rajeeve said. EOIs have been signed with various companies from the US, UK, Germany, Spain, Italy and South Africa. Mr. Rajeeve said that this is the first time in history that Kerala is getting investment from the World Economic Forum.
The Kerala delegation held face-to-face discussions with representatives of 67 companies, out of which 27 companies signed the EoI. Memorandums of understanding have been signed with companies in the medical industry, renewable energy, data centers and emerging technology sectors. Mr. Rajeeve said that 24% of the MoUs signed at the Invest Kerala Global Summit held in Kochi last year have entered the construction phase.
The Kerala delegation, led by Mr. Rajeev, also held a breakfast discussion with CEOs of 22 major companies participating in the World Economic Forum. Investment opportunities in Kerala were presented to major companies and international media.
