Civil Services Exam Results 2025 has brought cheer to Kerala with many candidates securing high positions.
More than a dozen candidates from the state secured places in the top 200 ranks, while nearly 30 candidates made it to the top 500 ranks.
Sreeja JS of Naruvamood, Thiruvananthapuram secured the 57th rank in her first attempt and overcame several odds.
The success story of Sreeja, the daughter of Jayakumar, a daily wage laborer, and Sheeji Kumari is a powerful example of determination and perseverance, especially considering the financial difficulties her family faced.
Sreeja, who has a postgraduate degree in political science, recalled that her family has always supported her ambitions. “Whatever I needed to study, my family stood by me. It was my responsibility to study well. I had the energy and determination to move forward,” she says.
Her dream of joining the civil services started when she was studying in class seven, after learning that IAS officer Haritha V. Kumar had secured the first rank in the civil services examination in 2012. This momentous event fueled her ambitions. Having taken a keen interest in international relations during her college studies, she hopes to secure a position in the Indian Foreign Service.
An emotional Jayakumar said the family always found a way to pay for their children’s education even when they didn’t have enough money. However, he attributed his daughter’s success to her hard work and dedication.
