Kerala Home Minister to launch Operation Toofan senior meeting in Vadakara

The Kozhikode Rural Police will hold a senior citizen meeting on Monday (August 31, 2026) as part of the Operation Toofan campaign against drug trade at Vadakara in Kozhikode district. The program will be inaugurated by Home Minister Ramesh Chennithala.

An anti-drug awareness rally will also be held in Vadakara town before the senior citizen rally. KK Rema, MLA, will preside over the inaugural function. Vadakar MP Shafi Parambil will announce the names of Toofan Warriors. Kozhikode MP MK Raghavan will distribute Toofana badges.

Eminent social and cultural figures, including Padma Shri awardee Meenakshi Amma, will receive Toofan badges at the event. Inspector General of Police (North Zone) and Nodal Officer Toofan Putta Vimaladitya will make a presentation. Deputy Inspector General of Police (Kannur Range) K. Karthik will hand over the report to Toofan.
