The Kerala High Court on Thursday granted an interim stay against the release of “The Kerala Story 2-Goes Beyond”, saying prima facie there was non-application of mind on the part of the censor board in certifying the film, PTI reported.
Justice Bechu Kurian Thomas passed the order on two pleas challenging the release of the film.
The premiere of the film was scheduled for February 27.
In its order, the court also said that guidelines to ensure that the film does not disturb social harmony were apparently not followed by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC).
