Minister of Higher Education R. Binda said on Friday that the mismatch between academic teaching and practical skills needed on the highly competitive market led to a difference in skills between education and employment.
“While the state produces a talented younger generation, they often lack practical skills and work experiences needed to success on the highly competitive labor market,” she said in her inauguration address at her inauguration address.
She said the government favored academic and academic cooperation to bridge the gap. “The authorization of young people with skills is essential for bridging the abyss between education and employment. The government is working to transform Keraly into a knowledge society. Knowledge gained in university institutions should relate to the problems it faces, improve quality of life and strengthen the economic basis,” she said.
Sharan Prakash Patil, Minister of Karnataka for Medical Education, Development of Skills, Business and Living, which was the main guest at the event, said that Kerala and Karnataka are known for literacy, talent and progressive thinking. “Both states must take steps to become Indian skills,” he said.
The summit, which will end on Saturday, represented discussions about education, employment and the future of skills development.
