
The government announced a 5% tax discount for those who set up an organic waste processing facility at home.
Minister of the local MB Rajesh said on Monday that in addition to tax discounts the government plans to introduce students’ scholarships. He said that about 50,000 scholarships for hygiene would be introduced.
Four new treatment plants will be initiated exclusively for sanitary waste management. They will be in the districts of Kannur, Malappuram, Ernakula and Kollam, said Mr. Rajesh.
The new treatment plants should handle 100 tonnes of waste. He said they would work by December.
Given that the new plants will be functional, the problem with the treatment of sanitary waste in the state will be fully resolved, said Mr. Rajesh.
The Minister said the company has made significant progress in hygiene and hygiene. He also pointed out that state communities excelled in a recent survey of the Central Government hygiene.
“Eight out of the 100 cleanest cities in the country is from Kerala, and that’s what to be proud of,” he said.
Mr. Rajesh inaugurated a new building for the Center for Animal Contraception (ABC) built on Saturday Palakkad Block Panchayat in Parali.
Checking the birth rate of animals
Four centers of cell contraception in Ottapalam, Aathur, Chittura and Palakkada will be able to sterilize about 6,000 dogs a year, the officials said. The center in Parali is fifth.
Two centers are set up in Pattambi and Mannarkkad. Officials said they would be functional before December.
Each center in the district sterilizes about 120 dogs per month. Since 2016, about 63,000 dogs have been sterilized in Palakkad.
