
The Kerala government on Monday approved ₹74.34 crore to the Kerala State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) for payment of pensions.
The government has sanctioned ₹933.34 crore on transport services so far this year, Finance Minister KN Balagopal said. This includes ₹350 crore sanctioned as special assistance and ₹583.44 crore earmarked for payment of pensions.
The Kerala budget for 2025–26 allocated ₹900 crore for the KSRTC.
In the last nine years, the state government has supported KSRTC with financial assistance of ₹12,906 crore, Mr. Balagopal said. This includes ₹5,002 crore sanctioned during the previous Left Democratic Front (LDF) government and ₹7,904 crore provided during the current government’s tenure, the minister said.
