The paddy fields of Mundathikode in Thrissur, where 14 people were burnt to death, still reflect horror and unrest. A sea of police officers walked through the conspicuously green rice paddies that lay adjacent to the barren fields where the explosion occurred. The shadow of death, loss and confusion hung over everything.
A confused group of relatives, friends, and neighbors hovered around, often accidentally entering the confined space.
