
Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Wednesday met the Sri Lankan delegation on a tour of the state. General Secretary A. Jayathilak, Ministers KN Balagopal, K. Krishnankutty and AK Saseendran and CPI(M) General Secretary MA Baby shared their thoughts on various topics with the Sri Lankan delegation comprising two MPs and officials. A six-member delegation led by the Indian Council for Cultural Relations arrived here as special guests.
Sri Lankan MPs Kitnan Selvaraj and K. Ilankumaran; General Secretary of the People’s Liberation Front M. Tilvin Silva; Central Committee Member and General Secretary of the Inter-Enterprise Employees’ Union Janaka Adhikari; Head of Media Unit Hemathilaka Gamage; Members of the group included BR International Relations Committee Member Kalpana Madhubhashini. The team, which arrived in New Delhi on February 5, arrived in Kerala after completing visits to Delhi and Ahmedabad. After various official programmes, the team will return to Colombo on Thursday, the statement said.
