Main Minister Keral Pinarayi Vijayan on Thursday (July 4, 2025) expressed his dissatisfaction over the leakage of information from the Governor’s office to the media.
At the regional inspection meeting held in Kottayam, Mr. Vijayan referred to the media reports indicating that Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Alelekar expressed his displeasure to the new Chief of the State Police Ravad A. Chandrasekhar on issues on the appointment of security staff. He indicated that the escape must come from the governor.
“The governor has asked for other police staff and we do not have an objection to it. However, there is a proper procedure that needs to be followed, regardless of the position of the person,” the main minister said.
“Instead of approaching the Chief of the State Police directly, such requests should be directed through the state government. We have poured it and asked to keep a proper process,” he added.
