Sheikh Hasan Khan, a 38 -year -old climber from Kerala on a mission to scalance the highest peaks of all seven continents, sent SOS after being imprisoned in a heavy snow storm on Mount Denali, the highest peak in North America.
Mr. Khan, who embarked on an expedition with a climber from Tamil Nadu, planned to raise the national flag as a tribute surgery of the Indian Army Sindoor. However, extreme weather conditions, including strong winds, stopped their progress and let them get stuck in Tábor 5, nearly 17,000 ft above sea level.
Mr. Khan’s report, shared broadly on social media, is: “I’m on an expedition to Mount Denali, the highest peak in North America. We’re stuck in a heavy storm by 17,000 ft with less food and water to survive.

Rajeev Chandrasekhar, state president of the party Bhartiya Janata, said he warned the Minister of External Affairs (EAM) S. Jaishankar and his team, as well as the Indian Embassy in Washington and President.
Mr. Khan, employed at the financial department of the Kerala Government, is the perfect climber who had previously climbed Mount Everest and Mount Kilimanjaro. In June 2023, Mount Denali was already conquered. He only has the Australian Mountain Kosciuszko to complete the challenge of seven summits. Mr. Khan is on a five -year -old holiday to devote himself to his dream.
Pathanamthitta MP Anto Antony wrote to the Minister of External Affairs looking for immediate intervention. “Mr. Shaikh Hasan Khan is reportedly imprisoned on Mount Denali.
Representative of the speaker Keral Chittayam Gapuja brought this question to the announcement of Chief Minister Pinaayi Vijayan.
The main minister Pinaraya Vijayan was looking for the intervention of Prime Minister Narendry Modi for the rescue of Mr. Khan. “He learns that the person does not have food and water necessary for survival,” wrote Mr. Vijayan, urging Modi to indicate the necessary instructions to the Indian Embassy in the US to deal with the matter with the authorities in question to be saved first.
Back home in Poozhikkad near Pandalam, Mr. Khan’s parents, has Ali Ahmed Khan and J. Shahid, wait anxiously for the news. His last communication with his family was June 10, when he informed them about the expedition.
“He called us on June 10 and told us about his mission. We haven’t heard from him since. We pray for his security,” his mother told the media.
