
A total of 5,836 voters in the district exercised their suffrage through home voting within two days as part of the council elections.
This facility has been extended in all 13 constituencies for voters above 85 years of age and disabled persons with disability of 40% and above in the electoral roll, based on a previous request.
On Monday, the first day, 2907 voters voted, on Tuesday 2929 voters.
Each home voting team consists of two election officials, a micro-observer, a police officer and a cameraman. A total of 192 teams, including reserve teams, were deployed throughout the district.
If the voter is not available during the visit, officials will revisit the residence after prior notification. Domestic voting will continue until April 6.
