Ahead of the IPL 2026 season, the Rajasthan Royals star, who idolizes Brian Lara and Yuvraj Singh, is looking to make an impact. After shining in the ICC Under-19 World Cup 2026 and breaking IPL records at just 14 last season, the 15-year-old is now considered a prodigy with huge potential.

It’s not a question of if but when… But overall I believe he will play for India. It’s just a question of when.” He also stressed the importance of staying grounded: “100%. I think he’s an amazing talent. But it’s very important to keep your head on your shoulders, it matters a lot.”Impressed by his play, Yuvraj Singh added, “The most remarkable thing about Vaibhav is his batting speed. His batting speed is incredibly fast – frankly, I didn’t have that speed either. I have seen very few players with such quick hands… What impressed me was the way he hit sixes in the offside, even against good deliveries, which showed real quality.” Yuvraj also added that Vaibhav’s strength is all over the ground, not confined to one area and will only improve with more experience.“When I got selected, my only aim was to give the team a good start. I wanted to play my game in the Powerplay and if I started well, I wanted to go on and play long without giving away my wicket. I knew that if I played my shots, the script of the game would change,” Sooryavanshi told JioStar recently.
