The Karnataka Office for Examination (Kea) decided to issue “slides” instead of “admission orders” to students who had arranged for professional courses this year in an effort to prevent the seat from blocking and other problems.
Steps were taken to carry out all the admission processes, including advice for a regular input test (CET), through the facial recognition technology. Students who have received slides confirmation of the seat should go to the university and leave their photos and other details verified by facing recognition. Then the order to accept students will be withdrawn and the process of admission to college will be completed.
The CET, which is a gateway to take engineering and other professional courses, will take place throughout the State of 15 April. Last time, engineering seat blocking fraud in the state a huge stir. There is an investigation into the seat blocking by misuse of the address of the Internet protocol students (IP). Kea decided to fill the seats of government quotas that remain at private universities after the last round of advice.
Prasanna H., the Executive Director of Kea, said: “Previously, the applicants were confirmed that in each round of advisors it was confirmed to candidates, but many students, but some others were, but some others, but did not draw cause for many problems.
Furthermore, he stated that many students do not fulfill the “choice”, whether the place has been taken or refused; 14,500 students in the first round of advice and 5,500 students in the second round did not choose the elections for the last time. “So, they should be excluded from the next rounds? Or should the seats assigned to them for the next round or not? As a solution to all these problems, we decided to give out instead of receiving orders whose chairs were completed,” he explained.
Until now, as soon as the chair is confirmed during CET counseling and the student pays the fee, an order will be generated. Students would be accepted by submitting this admission order to college. This year, however, Kea took steps to issue confirmation slip only if the student pays the fee for the confirmed chair.
“All the details of the admission of students who have paid a fee and received a slip on the seat are sent to register the headmaster of the university through the OTP system. Then students go to college and are verified through the facial recognition technology to be opened.
“This time we decided to carry out all CET consulting processes through face recognition technology. We have already allowed facial recognition, while students apply. Also Dcet, Pgcet and Recruitment exams,” he said.
