The festival rescue team also won the heart of the crowd on Friday. Due to the high levels of water in Chalipuzha, the preliminary events of extreme slalom were performed as a boater X – a simpler format. However, the risk of re -evaluation of kayaks or participants facing misfortune remained high.
In addition to the official rescue team led by Bishn Guru of Nepal, divers of the divers from fire and rescue services were ready for immediate response at the venue. The rescue staff was placed along the length of the river, from the starting point to the finish line – some in kayaks and others on the mainland with bamboo poles. Professional Kayakers also helped ensure safety. On the banks of the river were prevented public access to water and in standby were diving, boats, boats and ambulances.
