Former Indian versatile Irfan Pathan criticized the Indian dough of Karun Nair for not taking his return to testing cricket during the recently closed Anderson-Tendelkar Trophy. After 2017, Nair, after 2017 after strong home performances, tried to provide a consistent large score in a number of five matches.
Pathan rated Nair’s performance as “four out of ten” and felt Talka wasted his second chance he gave him. “During the series, he didn’t look particularly poor. He was still constantly, but he managed only half a century. He got a lot of opportunities. The cricket definitely gave him a second chance, but he couldn’t earn it as he should,” Pathan said on his YouTube channel.
The 33-year-old enjoyed a dream run to his return. He scored 863 Runs in the Vidarbha’s Ranji Trophy campaign and gained an IPL contract with Dill Capitals, where he looked promising. Its double century against England lions offered to look into the revival that could be reflected in the international level. However, he managed only 205 runs on average 25.62, with just half a century.
Veteran All-Rounder chose the Lord’s test as a particularly expensive lady. “Especially in the gentleman’s test he had a real chance to win a match for India, but he couldn’t do it,” Pathan said.
Throughout the Nair series, he often looked comfortable early, scoring with a decisive leg, but as his shifts proceeded, he reached repeatedly before he counted it. This pattern, Pathan noted, summed up his campaign.
“It often looked like he was playing well, he was building nicely, and then suddenly he played a free shot and got out. He looked a little shaken and seemed to be more uncomfortable and more uncomfortable. So he gets four points,” he concluded.
Pathan rated Sai Sudharsan five out of ten and noted that left -handed could show his class if he said in all five tests.
“Sai Sudharsan is talented and can be a big score if he works on several aspects of his game. He was not given enough chances. If he played all the games, it might be different.” “You played in one test and then you fell. I feel that when he gets regular opportunities, he can achieve a lot. I like left -handed dough at the top of the order. He scored fifty in the last match. I will give him five out of ten.”
