
The 450 pharmacy licenses were suspended and the licenses of five canceled to avoid abuse of antibiotics to strengthen antimicrobial resistance to strategic action resistance (KARAP), said Health Minister George.
The Minister, who chaired the antimicrobial resistance meeting (AMR), stated that the Government Directive on Medical Trades not to sell antibiotics without a prescription, was almost fully performed. The use of antibiotics not only decreased by 20-30%in the state, but it was also ensured that those who are used were relatively less dangerous.
The meeting decided to intensify the tests to detect residues of antibiotics in milk, meat and fish. Directions have been administered to reduce antibiotics in cattle and poultry.
Color coding
It was decided to introduce color coding to make all hospitals in state antibiotic intelligent hospitals. All hospitals should implement coding in three months. The instructions were also given instructions for local self -governing institutions (LSGI) as part of the literacy of antibiotics. LSGIS would be color -coded according to these instructions. On this basis, they would have to prepare microplanes to become antiobiotic intelligent.
Antibiotics should be issued in blue covers to facilitate their identification. All hospitals, medical stores and pharmacies should implement it. There were also steps to make more antibiotic hospitals intelligent. The activities would be strengthened in the private sector with the support of organizations such as the Indian Medical Association, the Association of Indian Physicians and the Indian Academy of Pediatrics.

The Minister said that the state sought to become a literate antibiotic by December.
It ordered the first antibiogram at the district level in the country, brought by Ernaculam, will be carried in other districts in the phases. NWD (a new program for removing unused drugs) launched in Kozhikode for the collection of unused and expired medicines and their scientific liquidation would spread throughout the state.
