Karnataka found his latest badminton hero in Ayush Shetty, who won the prestigious title US Open in Council Bluffs in Iowa. Twenty -year -old Ayush became the first Indian to win the title of men since the victory of Lakeshya dream in Canada 2023 Open.
Consistent display
Ayush’s first international triumph came to the back of consistent performances in previous tournaments, where he upset top players like Olympics Kean Yew and Kidambi Sikanth.
A turning point on Ayush’s journey came when he moved to Bengalur from Karkala eight years ago. Ayush, who wants to chase sport seriously, began working under the leadership of the former international Krishn Kumar hill at I-Sports Academy.
Ayush played well at the junior level and then moved to Prakash Padukone badminton Academy. With Olympion Vimal Kumar and the head coach Sagar Chopda, Ayush grew in the character as mentors. He won a bronze medal at the World Championship in the Junior Championships of 2023 and ended up as a finalist in several international tournaments of series/series.
Ideal platform
Sagar believes that this victory will serve as an ideal platform for Ayush to achieve greater deeds. “He hadn’t won a single international tournament before. Since this great victory will be a good support of trust,” Sagar said.
Sagar added that this is the first steps to realize the great Ayusha-to-Pronty to the TOP 10 in the world ranking.
Ayush’s big run received praise from the main Minister Siddaramaiaha, who published a congratulations report to X.
