Karnataka will hand over Kumki elephants Andr Pradesh 21st May to resolve man-alephan conflict along the Karnataka-and Pradesh border.
Karnataka Forest and Forest Minister of the Environment Eshwar Khandre said on Sunday that at the official ceremony in Vishana, the trained elephants would be handed over by the main Minister Siddaraiaha and Deputy Minister of DK Shivakumara Andr Pradesh, Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan.
In his statement, Mr. Khandre said that the handover of elephants is part of an agreement on the exchange of proven procedures between Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Keral. This agreement was formulated among states during an international conflict conflict in Bengalur in 2024.
In addition, August 8, 2024, Mr. Kalyan, who also holds the Environment portfolio, led a delegation of forest officials to Bengalur and asked Mr. Khandre to provide eight Kumki elephants to control, manage and capture wild elephants.
He was also looking for help in providing training their mahouts and forest staff in operations to capture elephants.
Later, during a visit to Mr. Khandre to Vijayawady 27 September 2024, an agreement on mutual understanding was signed between the two states.

He added that Kumki elephants who participate in Jamboo Savari during Dasar celebrations in Mysuru will not be handed over to Andhra Pradesh.
