Search operations to nab the elusive tiger that has been attacking livestock in Kallura, Heggottara and nearby villages of Chamarajanagar district continued without sighting of the big cat.
Forest officials launched the operation following reports of cattle killings in the last 15 days. The combing team, assisted by domesticated elephants Srirama and Indra, searched the forest edges and other vulnerable areas in the affected villages, including Deshigowdanapura. However, no fresh pugmarks or signs of tiger movement were found.
According to a press release from the forest department, the search operation will continue with the help of elephants and ground personnel.
