Karnataka Postal Circle will sell 8,000 philatelic passports on October 10 and 11

After receiving an overwhelming response earlier, the Karnataka Postal Circle of India Post will be selling 8,000 philatelic passports on October 10 and 11. The passports are issued to mark National Postal Week, which begins on October 7.
Speaking to the media on Wednesday, Swati Pandey, Postmaster General, Karnataka Circle, said, “The sale will be on a first-come, first-served basis with physical tokens issued to visitors standing in queues. There will be no online sales or pre-booking of passports. Each passport costs ₹ 600 and will be available in Bengaluru, Bengaluru and GPO.”
While 1,500 passports will be sold in Bengaluru GPO, 500 each will be sold in these three districts on October 10. 2,000 passports will be sold in Bengaluru GPO and 1,000 each in three districts on October 11.
There will be no vehicle parking available at Bengaluru GPO premises on 10th and 11th October. In July, around 1,000 passports were sold in a day at the Bengaluru GPO and 500 each in the three districts.
