The Karnatak government will look for time with Prime Minister Narendra Modim and Union Jal Shakti by Minister of CR Patil to discuss the question of the reservoir Almatti through Krishna with regard to the objection raised by the Maharashtra to increase the height of the dam.
“After the main Minister Siddaramaiah responds to the letter of the main Minister Maharashtra Devendry Fadnavis, I will seek time from Prime Minister and Minister Jal Shakti,” said Deputy Minister DK Shivakumar on Tuesday. In the next two days, Mr. Siddaramaiaha is expected to answer the objection from the main Minister Maharashtra, he said here after the venue of Kempe Gowd Jayanti was to be held this year.
Mr. Shivakumar said, “We will also share a letter from the main minister with all the members of the parliament (from the state) to take it in the house. Then we will look for a meeting with the Prime Minister. It is important that we all protect the interests of the state.”
Meanwhile, he said that the government would put the cornerstone for the Kempe Gowda 27th Development Office and celebrate Kempe Gowd Jayanti. A museum on the Kempe Gowda will also appear on the assigned country, he said. “Our local leaders have proposed to replace the allocated land with a land that belongs to the social security department, because it also has an auditorium. There will also be a railway line through this place and there will be a station. It will start at the cabinet meeting,” he added.
Asked if the country is too far from the city, he said, “Bengalur has now grown, where else can we assign the country? No one is willing to say goodbye to the golf course and race.”
