In yet another formula to divide internal reservation among the 101 Scheduled Castes in Karnataka, the Congress government on Friday (April 24, 2026) announced a matrix with 5.25% each for Category 1 (Madigas and Allied Castes/Dalits on the left) and Category 2 (Holeyas and Allied Castes 3 and Category 4vial on the right). Lambani, Korama, Koracha and 59 nomadic communities) under 15% reservation for SCs.
The government hopes to jump-start the recruitment process, which has now been on hold for more than a year after the formula was announced.
