Karnataka High Court Judge G Basavaraj sustained minor injuries after his convoy met with an accident near Rayarapalya on the Bengaluru-Tumakuru National Highway on March 8 morning.
According to the police, the incident took place around 7:30 a.m. when a truck traveling in front of the judge’s motorcade suddenly took a left turn. The police escort vehicle swerved to the right in an attempt to avoid the truck and drove into the middle of the road.
Subsequently, the car in which Mr. Basavaraj was traveling collided with the accompanying vehicle.
The judge suffered a slight injury to his nose, and two members of the police escort were also injured in the accident. All the injured were immediately taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Police said the injuries are minor and all are non-life threatening.
