On Tuesday, the High Court in Karnataka ordered an announcement to the National Motorway Office of India (Nhai) on a petition that complained that the collection of tolls on Nagasandra toll Square is illegal because the time for toll collection in 2021.
The divisional bench composed of the main judge of Vibhu Bakhr and the Justice cm Joshi approved an order for a petition filed by Amaranathan, a city advocate.
The petitioner who claimed that Crores had been collected as tolls since 2021, was looking for direction from court to Nhai to submit details of the toll collected since 2021.
The petitioner also claimed that the square is located inside the city of Bengalur, and therefore the collection of tolls is illegal, except that for traveling about 5 km, from Gurugunepalya to Nagasandra, where there are a square, commuting will have to pay £ 40.
It was also complained in the petition that Nhai did not give him an answer to the requests submitted within the RTI, which was looking for various details of the collection of tolls and contracting periods.
