The state government seriously shifts families that are not eligible to obtain the benefits of poverty cards (BPL) for the above -mentioned poverty category (APL), said the Minister of Food and the KH MuniyAppa civil needs on Monday.
In finding the cooperation of members of the Chamber of Deputies, the Minister in response to the question of the Congress member M. Nagaraja told the Legislative Council: “If this happens, the government can use more money for development.
He said in earlier efforts was identified by 15 lakhs of unfit families holding BPL cards, but due to a certain confusion could not be transferred to the process.

Asked about the reasons for the high number of BPL cards in the state, Mr. MuniyAppa said that Karnataka has 1.28 crore cards BPL with 4.5 crore people below. “The BPL population in Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana is below 50%and is less than 45%in Kerala. However, the BPL population has exceeded 75%in the Carnation.”
The Minister explained that he explained that while the center had 12 instructions to determine the BPL families, Karnataka had five. “According to the Center’s instructions, 11.5% of the population in the country in the BPL category falls. Since we have our instructions, the number for our state is different.”
