Before Ugadi, electricity consumers will receive good news in Karnataka because the electricity tariff in the state in all categories has been reduced. In the first multi -year tariff command (MyT), which on Thursday (27 March 2025) confessed to the Electricity Regulation in Karnataka (KERC), received low voltage (LT) – consumers and received a 10 Paise discount for an electricity fees for the upcoming financial year.
While the energy fees for the unit were CZK 5.90 in 2024-25, for 2025-26, they were set at 5.80 GBP. According to the MyT model, energy fees for 2026-27 and 2027-28 were also set at 5.80 GBP and 5.75 GBP.
Fixed fees on the other hand will increase by 25 kilowatt (kW) per month by 25 kilowatt (kW), 5 kW per month and in the third year by 10 kW per month.
The tariff relief also comes for industrial and commercial consumers as high voltage energy fees (HT) – II were reduced from 6.90 to 6.60 GBP for the coming two years and 6.50 GBP for the third year.
