In the Karnataka government on Friday, it could be beneficial for exhibitors and film enthusiasts who announced the ticket prize in cinemas on Friday and limited the upper price for 200 GBP, without taxes. This will apply to all cinemas, including multiplex, and for all language movies and will be applicable from the date on which the announcement was selected.
However, the 200 GBP cap does not apply to all multiplex cinemas with premium devices of 75 seats or less. The fee was shut down through the rules of Karnataka Cinemas (Regulation) (Amendment), 2025. The proposal was informed on July 15, 2025 and called on the views and information from the parties.
A similar exercise attempted to government Siddaramaiaha in 2017, which stopped after the multiplex India Association successfully attacked the move in court.
Karnataka with the announcement is followed by Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh, where the price of tickets is and only with special permission can increase the price of tickets.
The price of tickets is a long waiting demand of exhibitors to attract more trace to the cinema, while the audience complained of the high costs incurred when the cinema was monitored.
“We welcome the decision of the Karnatak government. Over the past few years, the exhibitors have been in a daunting situation. The price loss will be affordable for one family. The survival of theater owners will help.
Karnataka The Film Chamber of the Chamber of Commerce (KFCC) also welcomed the decision that “the high cost of tickets was one of the main reasons why the public would stay watching films in theaters. Theaters in theaters,” said KFCC President M. Zarasimhal.
