In the middle of the shouting of the population of the caste population identified in the socio -economic and educational survey (census) carried out by the State Commission of Karnataka for back grade, a small percentage of the population either refused to provide caste details during the census or did not know their caste.
A total of 73 399 families, of which 53,241 families living in urban areas, which represented approximately 2.53 lakh (including 1.12 lakho women), or about 0.425% of the state population, which came into the survey, refused to identify their caste during the list during the exclusive survey on Friday. The government must still publish a full reconnaissance report and will be discussed at a special cabinet meeting on April 17th.
Interestingly, up to 35,845 families, including those 27,535 families living in urban areas, said it is not a caste or “no caste”. Their population is tied to 1.34 lakh or about 0.225% of state quantification. This data appeared at a time when the Kast was lobbying for their number to decrease or the names of Kast.
Based on a survey conducted in 2015, up to 5.98 crore people with a planned population of 6.35 Crore in Karnataka of approximately 1.35 crore households were covered.

About 52,272 families, including 44,912 families in urban areas, were described in the category “if he does not know the caste”, their population is linked to 1.94 lakh or about 0.324% of the total population.
Casts and communities could not be identified in 3,755 persons belonging to 967 households in the state. They represent about 0.006% of the listed population.
Sources of commissions stated that those who did not reveal or did not have castes are not part of the final number calculated for the list. “Some people did not know castes for migration or nomadic nature. Some castes were not in a detailed list we have developed. Moreover, we cannot force anyone to provide details,” the sources said.
