The Karnataka government on Saturday (March 8) released the final reservation notification for 369 constituencies of the newly created five Municipal Corporations of Bengal, marking a major step towards the long-delayed civic polls.
However, the final notification is likely to be challenged in court as the Urban Development Department (UDD) has not changed the percentage in either the vertical reservation or the quota for women despite the draft notification drawing widespread criticism.
