Kapil Sharma Cafe Shooting: The Delhi Crime Branch on Friday, November 28, arrested Goldy Dhillon Bandhu gang member Man Singh in connection with the shooting at comedian Kapil Sharma’s restaurant in Canada.
A prominent criminal of the gang, Bandhu Man Singh, has several criminal cases registered against him. Authorities seized a Chinese pistol and ammunition from him. The development comes two days after the 44-year-old actor and comedian recently spoke out about the shooting incidents at Kap’s Cafe in Surrey, Canada. He claimed that he was not afraid of the threats as he claimed that the business always came back bigger than before.
Speaking at the trailer launch of his latest film Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2, he said, “I feel that the rules there and the police may not have the power to control (such an incident). But when our case happened, it went to the federal government and it was discussed in the Canadian Parliament,” Kapil said, before adding, “Actually, after every major incident, the cafe has come under fire, that’s right. I,” Hindustan Times reported.
Kapil Sharma’s restaurant, which opened in July in Surrey, British Columbia, was the first to be attacked. Unknown gunmen targeted it just days after it opened. Two more attacks occurred in the following three months, one on August 7 and the other on October 16. No one was injured in the shooting, but the investigation into the shooting is ongoing. Notably, no group claimed responsibility for the attacks.
