Kanwar Yatra: Traffic Curbs in Delhi-Ncr
With hundreds of pilgrims who, every day during the ongoing Kanwar Yatra, are passing through national capital, the authorities have increased security measures, issued traffic consultancy for Delhi and neighboring areas, and determined the entrance routes and campers for Kanwariyas.
Over 5,000 police workers in Delhi and approximately 50 companies (more than 5,000 employees) of paramilitary forces were deployed across the sensitive areas in the national capital. Yatra, which will continue until July 22, is monitored through the supervision of CCTV and drone patrol, especially in areas around the temples and the main routes that have been carried out by pilgrims.
Transport restrictions were stored in areas like Kalindi Kunj and Noida, where a heavy movement of Kanwariyas (pilgrims) is expected. Agra Canal Road and stretching between Badarpur and Kalindi Kunj will see partial closure, with commuting recommended use of DND Flyway and Ashram routes.
