
Kanpur Fire: The man and his wife were killed in a massive fire that broke out in the five -storey building in the chamanganj area in Kanpuru. According to the police Uttar Pradesh, three children of the couple are also worried about the dead in the fire.
Huge flames were absorbed by the whole building located in the Nagar area in Chamanganj late on Sunday evening. In the five -storey structure there is a shoe factory on the first and second floor, they said on Monday.
The bodies of the couple killed in a fire – Mohammad Danish (45) and his wife, called Saba (42) – was obtained from the fourth floor of the building, the officials said.
The police, when she saw the intensity of the fire, said the three daughters of the couple – Sara (15), Simran (12) and Inaya (7) – are also afraid of the dead.
They added that firefighters took to get access to the fourth floor where the couple’s bodies were discovered.
According to the police, the neighbors first noticed huge flames and strong smoke coming from the building on Sunday evening and alerted a fire station and police.
The assistant of the police commissioner (Seesmau) Manjay Singh said that the investigation was initiated to determine the cause of the fire. The situation, however, deteriorated the explosion of the LPG cylinder in the house of the steam, run by fire.
“The exact reason remains unclear, the initial suspicion indicates a possible short circuit or internal wiring failures, potentially from the floors where the shoe factory worked,” the act said.
“The fire led to the explosions in several LPG domestic rollers that worsened the situation,” he added.
Officials stated that there were efforts to extinguish the fire and people from more than half a dozen nearby buildings were evacuated to ensure their safety.
