Kannada Sahitya Parishat (KSP) applied for a petition to the petition of Raj Kamal Films International on the publication of Tamil’s Thug Life in Karnataka after cropping Kamalam Kamal Kamal Kamal Kamal.
KSP said in its application that “it is the primary parties, while maintaining the integrity, history and respect for the language of Kannada, seeking to intervene and present relevant historical, language and constitutional aspects related to the independent linguistic identity of Cannada and cultural source.”
KSP further said that this would announce the court of constitutional, cultural and language concerns resulting from the statement of Mr. Haasan and the instructions sought by the film producer, especially in terms of the protection of the identity, dignity and historical heritage of the language and culture of Cannada.
KSP said that Mr. Haasan’s statement was made without factual support or academic support, and said “the language is the heart and soul of the earth, and is therefore called the sacred mother tongue. Bracketing language in terms of seniority or superiority is similar to comparison of sacred motherhood.
The letter of Mr. Haasan Karnatak’s film Chamber of Commerce, which demanded his apology, does not contain any categorical apology, KSP said. He also stated that freedom of expression and manifestation is not absolute, because it comes with reasonable restrictions. The application is likely to come to hear when the proposal is published on another hearing of 13 June.
At the beginning of the week, Mr. Haasan decided not to offer an apology for his statement, despite the proposal submitted in this respect to the High Court to end the controversy.
Raj Kamal Films International filed a petition that was looking for police protection for the release of the film for the opposition of Kannada and KFCC. The company said it was not willing to check the film in Karnataka unless there was an encouraging dialogue with KFCC.
