Kannada actor Ganesh’s musical love story ‘Brinda Vihari’, directed by Srinivasa Raju, will release worldwide on November 20 instead of the earlier proposed date of October 16, MLA and film producer Samruddhi V. Manjunath announced in Hubballi on Saturday.

The film producer, who along with lead actor Ganesh, director and other actors were in Hubballi on Saturday to attend a pre-release function of the film, informed that the decision was taken after due consideration.

He said that when Kannada film ‘Premada Oorali’, made by newcomers, was doing well at the box office, they did not want to clash with him and affect his cinema. At a time when Kannada filmdom was facing a dearth of hits, clashing with his theatrical move would be bad, he said, adding that the film will continue to do well.

Actor Ganesh said that he was personally involved in the promotion of the film and agreed to the proposal to postpone its release.

He described his role as Madhava as one of his favorite characters and said that the audience will see his new avatar in ‘Brinda Vihari’.

Director Srinivasa Raju said that the film was a musical love story and the makers wanted to ensure a proper theatrical release. He said that the film featured several newcomers and stressed the importance of scheduling its release to avoid screen competition that would inevitably affect the collections of another debutant film that is running successfully.

Music composer and singer Hesham Abdul Wahab, who worked mainly in Malayalam and Telugu cinema, composed the music for the film. He said five songs in the film have already received a good response on digital platforms and one of the songs, ‘Radha Radha’, has crossed 11 million views online.

Devika Bhat and Malavika Sharma shared their experience of shooting the film.

Produced by Samruddhi V. Manjunath under the banners of Kevin Productions and Virat Sai Creations, the film stars Rangayana Raghu, Sadhu Kokila and Achyuth Kumar in supporting roles. Kevin Productions is handling the distribution of the film in Karnataka. The makers had earlier planned to release in around 1300 screens across the country on October 16.
