Kannababu takes oath as a member of specified TTD office

K. Kannababu, Secretary, Revenue (Endowments), was sworn in as a member of the newly constituted Specified Authority of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) at the Bangaru Vakili Lord Venkateswara Temple in Tirumala on Saturday.

TTD Additional Executive Officer Ch. Venkaiah Chowdary administered the oath to Mr. Kannababu in the presence of temple officials. Vedic scholars recited Veda Ashirvachanam at Ranganayakula Mandapam where another EO presented Srivari Teertha Prasadams to Mr. Kannababu.

Mr Kannababu later addressed the media and termed his appointment as a “divine opportunity”. He thanked Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu for entrusting him with the responsibility.

Mr. Kannababu said that under the chairmanship of the specified authority, he would strive to preserve and promote the religious heritage and spiritual significance of the Lord Venkateswara hill shrine.
