
The ruling DMK on Wednesday set up a committee headed by its parliamentary party leader Kanimozhi to prepare a manifesto for the Assembly elections scheduled for next year.
A press release issued by DMK general secretary Duraimuruga said the committee will tour the state and seek views and opinions from social associations, traders’ associations, trade unions, farmers’ associations, alliance partners and the general public.
Other members of the committee include former MP TKS Elangovan, Higher Education Minister Govi Chezhiaan, IT Minister Palanivel Thiaga Rajan, Industries Minister TRB Rajaa, NRI Wing Secretary MM Abdulla, Speaker Constantine Ravindran, Environment Wing Secretary Karthikeya Sivasenpathy, MLA Dr. former IAS officer G. Santhanam and Suresh Sambandam, convener of Dream Tamil Nadu.
