The prominent writer and political theorist Kancha Ilaiah Shepherd, who was nominated for the ObC Ideological Advisory Committee of Congress, denied rumors that he joined the congress side.
Mr. Ilaiah was one of the 23 persons nominated for the committee from all over the country according to the list of published party.
“Maybe I understood the understanding of the party about the need for caste census, but it is wrong to say that I joined the party. This report is distributed by right -wing forces with harmful intentions,” he said.
Mr. Ilaiah supports the Rahula Gandhi campaign for the protection of the constitution and also the national census. He recently worked as a vice -chairman of an independent working group of experts, who submitted a detailed report on Telangana Socio, Economic, Educational, Employee and Political Survey of Kaste.
