
On Thursday, Judge V. Kameswar Rao, Chief Judge of the High Court in Karnataka, as an acting chief judge with effect from the date of the Chief Judge NV Anjaria, surrendered the accusation of his office after his promotion as a judge of the Supreme Court.
He was born on August 7, 1965 and Mr. Justice Rao secured the title of law at the University of Delhi and was registered as a defense counsel with the Bar Association in Delhi. After practicing before the Supreme Court and several of the highest courts, he was described in 2010 as the leader of the High Court in Delhi.
On April 17, 2013, he was promoted as another judge of the High Court in Delhi and was transferred as a permanent judge on 18 March 2015 as a judge of the Supreme Court in Karnatation and took over the office of June 1, 2024.
