Kakinada and NTR district raised the overall championship trophy in the U-20 and U-15 categories to the 8th Wrestling Championship Andhra Pradesh, 2025, organized by the Rotary Club in Rajahendravaram icons of Association in Rajahendravam City.
At least 400 wrestlers were attended by the championship, which closed on Sunday 6 April.

In the U-15 category, the Kakinada district won the second place and the Alluri Sitharama Raju district won second place in the U-20 category. In the free style of girls U-15, Sailaja (65 kg), Harika (62 kg), Ramana (58 kg), True (50 kg) and Surya Kala (42 kg) gold. In the U-15 Boys Free-style, ch. Sunil (85 kg), D. Gupta (75 kg), S. Kumar (67 kg) and Guru Prasad (57 kg) won gold.
The winners will be represented by Andhra Pradesh at the National Wrestling Championship, which is to be held in Kota in Rajasthan since 23rd April. The President of the State Federation of the MV Manicaal Rao recommended the winners to focus on the National Championship.
Wrestling academy
Rotary Club of Rajamahendravaram ICONS President Immani Venkat and Secretary Suesh Udayagiri announced that the club is preparing to establish a match academy in Rajahendrav. Former wrestler Madireddi Kesava Rao promised the necessary guidelines and support the proposed academy to be treated with Rajamaharam wrestlers.
