An 800-year-old temple with a rare inscription that appealed Kakatiya ruler Ganapatdeva as Maharaja and Rajadhirajulu was razed to the ground in Ashok Nagar Khanapur Mandal of Warangal.
“The ancient Shiva temple is under the purview of the State Archaeological Department, but it was bulldozed to the ground to make way for an integrated school being built by the government. This is not fair to the history of Telangana,” said Kotha Telangana convener Charitrabrundam Sreeramoju Haragopal, who was informed of the development.
