The Ghanpur Mla Kadiyam Srihari on Tuesday strongly refuted the accusations of intervention in forest land, which was coped with the leader of Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) against him. He described the accusations as unfounded and politically motivated.
Srihari focused on a press conference in the DCC office, along with the leaders of Congress here, Mr. Srihari attacked BRS Yangaon Mla Palla Rajeshwar Reddy and former Thaticond Rajaiah to justify his demands. “If they can prove that I intervened with a single gun, I am ready to resign from my post. If not, they should apologize,” he said.
He said that farmers from Devanoor, Mupparam and Narayanagiri the village approached him and sought to remedy and claimed that the forest department interfered with their legally held Patta Lands. After their appeal, he conducted a joint survey of revenue, land and survey and forest department. The survey confirmed that 43.38 acres of land belonging to 23 farmers were really Patta Land. These countries were not part of the original forest design, he said.
Mr. Srihar added that farmers have valid Patta deposits, both from the retained Andhr Pradesh and from the Thelangana government through the Dharani portal. He also pointed out that these farmers have been receiving financial assistance within the Ryth Bandh system since 2017.
Kadiyam Srihari also explained that he would fully cooperate with any official investigation. “I am ready to face any investigation. If it is proven guilty, I resign and apologize to people,” he said. Mr. Srihari repeated his obligation to protect both forest land and the rights of land holders. He announced that the Congress Government was working on the development of Devunura Hills on UBOB Eko-Turistics and that Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy ordered officials to prepare a detailed report of the project.
