Government whip and Kadapa MLA Reddeppagari Madhavi Reddy on Thursday announced that civic issues raised by citizens at various forums would be addressed on priority by setting up a special monitoring cell in her office.
As part of the ‘Pedala Sevalo 2.0’ programme, the MLA, accompanied by her husband and TDP zonal coordinator Reddeppagari Srinivasa Reddy, distributed social security pensions to beneficiaries in Modameedhapalli locality under Kadapa Municipal Corporation (KMC) first division on Thursday.
The duo reached out to the public and asked them if they were getting all the welfare programs they were entitled to.
As citizens lined up to submit their comments, the MLA announced that public issues raised by them related to civic maintenance, sanitation, street lighting, roads and other amenities would be addressed on priority.
At a government primary school, she sought details from a teacher about the maintenance of facilities such as drinking water, toilets and classrooms.
Speaking to the media later, Mr. Srinivasa Reddy said that the ‘Pedala Sevalo 2.0’ proposed by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu provided a direct forum for citizens to interact with public representatives.
