K. Vidyasagar takes over as Prajavani State Nodal Officer from Divya Devarajan

K. Vidyasagar took over as State Nodal Officer Prajavani from IAS Officer Divya Devarajan in the presence of State Planning Board Vice Chairman G. Chinny Reddy on Tuesday (July 7, 2026) at the Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Praja Bhavan in Hyderabad.

Launched on December 8, 2023, Prajavani is a grievance program held on Tuesdays and Fridays. Mr. Devarajan, who till recently held the post of Full Additional Charge (FAC), was relieved as FAC in June in a reshuffle of bureaucrats and others. Mr. Reddy appreciated the services rendered by Mr. Devarajan.

Apart from the FAC of Prajavani, Mr. Vidyasagar has been given the post of Director of Tourism.

Hailing from Yadadri Bhongir district, he holds a master’s degree in sociology from Osmania University. He served as Tahasildar of four districts, collaborated with the Center for Good Governance and Dr. MCR HRD Institute. Mr. Vidyasagar has also worked as Deputy Commissioner, Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation; Deputy Collector, Serilingampalli and Additional Collector, Medchal Malkajgiri District. Prior to his recent transfer, he served as an officer on special duty to the Chief Secretary.
