Justice Cheekati Manavendranath Roy was sworn in as a judge of the Andhra Pradesh High Court by Chief Justice Dhiraj Singh Thakur on Monday.
Justice Manavendranath Roy served as the Chief Registrar of the Supreme Court from July 2015 to June 2019 when he was elevated to the Bench. He was transferred to the Gujarat High Court in November 2023 and has now been repatriated to the Andhra Pradesh High Court.
Judges of the Supreme Court, Advocate General Dammalapati Srinivas, Additional Advocate General Challa Dhananjaya, President of the Supreme Court Bar Association K. Chidambaram, Additional Advocate General E. Sambasiva Pratap, President of the Bar Council N. Dwarakanatha Reddy and Secretary General of the Supreme Court were present at the swearing in ceremony.
